No Mr Snake in our log pile house. Norbury Wildlife Warriors start work on a new log pile to attract invertebrates and mammals into the wildlife garden. 

Forming your own writing implements,  and creating ink to write with provided great fun for the children in Forest School.

With the help of the RSPB, and as part of our Outdoor Learning, year five undertake a Bioblitz of the school grounds. A Bioblitz gives us the chance to look and see what diversity of wildlife we have in the school grounds, and what we can do to enhance that diversity.

Making our solstice wishes
Some of the Forest School children make their solstice wishes on the shortest day of the year, secret messages burnt as a yuletide wish to celebrate the newborn year ahead.

Our very own outdoor Christmas tree, adorned with woodland decorations sits proudly in the warm winter sun, outside our new Forest School bothy.

A very special thank you for all those mum’s dad’s and children who turned up and helped at today’s working party. Through a mighty effort of all those involved we managed to instal 100m of fence posts, plant 1000 crocus bulbs as well as weed one of the overgrown school gardens. But it didn’t stop there, as you can see the children managed to collect over two wheelbarrow’s full of rubbish off the school field, playground and butterfly garden, well done to all.

Children spent some of their lunch hour planting some crocus bulbs, kindly donated by one of our Governors ready for next spring.
