The school playground provided a resting place for one of our nocturnal friends who was discovered by accident sheltering behind one of our notice boards. Nobody disturbed the Bat who made a quick escape to the relative safety of the school building. This encounter prompted us to place our Bat Boxes made last term.
A wonderful day for a swim
Norbury Hall’s new year six found a wonderful way to keep cool on their first day at Robinwood. What better than a dip in the pool after the walk through the woods.
Norbury’s first Forest School groups joined together today to enjoy toasting Marshmallows around the camp fire.
Even the pouring rain could not dampen the children’s enthusiasm as they worked together to construct their woodland shelter.
Year two explore the wonders of the herb and allotment garden’s and the fantastic smells and aroma’s of the different plants, in order to make the perfect pong.
The first use of the moth trap this year captured some of our most beautiful night time visitors including Heart and Dart’s, Light Emerald, Grey Pug’s and an enchanting Beautiful Golden Y.

Mapping the school grounds, as the start of our school bio-blitz. Year five explore the school grounds in the rain, then settle down to draw our map.
